Meet Our Licensed Veterinary Technician Team

Tiffany

Lead LVT

Tiffany was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia and still resides in the area with her two dogs and cat. She began working in the veterinary field in 2006 and obtained her associate of applied sciences in veterinary technology and license in 2015 from Northern Virginia Community College. Her interests include anesthesia, pain management, and emergency medicine.

Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys hiking, bowling, and the beach.

We have additional 4 relief LVTs that work with us frequently.  We are happy to have them in their part-time capacity!

Meet Our Veterinary Assistant Team

Michelle

Lead Veterinary Assistant

Michelle grew up all over the world as part of a military family. In 2009, she moved to Northern Virginia to attend Shepherd University, where she earned her B.A. After graduating, she shifted career paths and entered the animal care industry in 2013. Since then, she has gained experience in grooming, boarding, and doggie daycare, and has spent the last six years working in the veterinary field.

She is currently enrolled in an accredited licensing program and is on track to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

Michelle shares her life with two energetic dogs—Violet, a 3-year-old Red Heeler mix, and Apollo, a 2-year-old Blue Heeler—who keep her busy and active. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, spending time with family, hiking and biking local trails, and exploring Northern Virginia’s many breweries and wineries with her dogs in tow.

Mikaeel

Veterinary Assistant

Mikaeel is an Eagle Scout, Northern Virginia Community College cum laude graduate, and Purcellville native.  His love for animals began at an early age when his family adopted a flock of parakeets. Since then, he has helped raise two flocks of chickens with his veterinarian sister and younger siblings, as well as his own flock more recently. In 2021, he adopted two adorable kittens (Smooshie and LJ) from the Loudoun County Animal Shelter.

With a decade-plus of non-profit experience both professionally and on a volunteer basis, Mikaeel is excited to be a part of the Royal Oak team and give back to the community by providing the best support and care possible in his role as a Veterinary Assistant. This is Mikaeel’s first role in the veterinary field and is thankful to be working with the amazing Doctors and staff and continuing to learn how to better care for all patients.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time creatively, from photography, sewing, digital art, spoken word, and written poetry, to retro gaming, reading fantasy and sci-fi novels, and baking pecan pies at his family’s bakeshop and bookstore.

Kiera

Veterinary Assistant

Kiera is originally from Northern Virginia and grew up in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. She has worked in veterinary medicine since 2016, with over five years of experience in emergency and urgent care. She is passionate about providing compassionate and efficient care to both patients and their people, and she strives to support families through both joyful and difficult moments.

Outside of work, she is a proud mom to a toddler boy, twin girls, and four dogs—Ruby, Juno, Theo, and Goku. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and getting creative whenever she has the chance.

Leilani

Veterinary Assistant

Leilani is a passionate and dedicated veterinary assistant who is currently studying to become a licensed veterinary technician.  She has always had a strong love for animals, which inspired her to pursue a career where she will make a positive impact on their health and well-being. From living on a farm, with both small and large animals, she has gained practical skills in animal handling, observation, and husbandry, as well as a strong understanding of the patience and compassion required in animal care. She is excited to be part of a hospital that will guide her in her clinical skill development and a team that values excellent patient care and teamwork.
