“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Church, her office manager, techs, and the new Royal Oaks Veterinary Urgent Care Clinic in Purcellville. I had to bring my dog, Remi, in because he suddenly wasn’t eating and was acting off. Dr. Church immediately ran bloodwork and discovered he had almost no white blood cells – a serious side effect from his recent chemo. She quickly started him on IV fluids and antibiotics, placed a catheter, and created a thoughtful plan for his continued care.

What impressed me most was her level of compassion and commitment. She previously worked as an ER doctor at The Life Center in Leesburg, and she and another ER vet opened this urgent care on their own. Her dedication truly shows. She even shared how she personally stayed overnight at the clinic with a dog who was too unstable to go home because no hospital had space to admit him. That kind of devotion is rare and speaks volumes about her priorities: the animals always come first.

Dr. Church made a clear and practical plan for Remi’s care, and even gave me her email, telling me to reach out any time—day or night—and that she would meet me if he needed help. That level of support gave me so much peace of mind during such a stressful time.”

“Great experience with this clinic. They were able to see my senior kitty promptly after he hurt his leg. All of the staff (reception, veterinary assistant and vet) were helpful and I felt that my kitty got high quality care. This is a new clinic, and it’s great to have a veterinary urgent care clinic in the area as an alternative to the ER. And in a time when more and more vet practices are getting corporatized, it’s nice to have a local clinic that is veterinarian-owned.”
